Hello! Thanks for popping by Bright by Design! My name is Helen Thornber and I created this blog to be a place full of quirky inspiration and fun ideas for any celebration or event you are planning.

This blog started over at The Bright Bride, but I soon realised my readers weren’t just brides-to-be. So I moved over to Bright by Design to provide party inspiration for everyone, whatever the occasion. From small informal gatherings to huge extravagant event you’ll find something to give your party that extra something special!

Each week we’ll focus on a different theme, and cover everything you need from a party – invitations, decorations, food & drink and style. We’ll share recipes, DIY projects, interviews, real events and try to answer your questions too. And if you are planning your wedding, I hope you’ll keep reading even after you’ve said “I DO”
